In 1946 we established ourselves in New Zealand for sale, repair, restoration and installation of instruments and accessories that covered the automotive, marine, commercial and industrial industries.
We specialise in the sale of new instruments and the servicing and/or repairing of existing ones. Testing, calibration and repairs are all in a day’s work.
We supply only the top brands and with our years of experience offer professional advice to find the right gauge to suit your application. Our workshop caters for any repair work that may be required, plus offer a gauge restoration service for classic cars, bikes or even boats.

TECHNICIAN
A teenage hobby of model aircraft grew into a 36 year career at Air NZ as an Avionic Technician in the Component Maintenenance workshops, Instrument and Electrical, eventually specialising in Engine wiring harnesses with both Air NZ, Fedex and Pratt and Whitney Engine centre. Leaving Air NZ Gavin had some exciting times at Martin Jet Pack and Avionics Canterbury Wide at Rangiora airfield. After that he maintained Campervans for Jucy, Lucky and Wilderness with some experience with large trucks and trailers.
Gavin joined E. Parrott & Instuments 2019 performing mainly mechanical instruments, correction gearbox advice and supply, clock repair liason, speedometer cables, and some electrical gauges, specialising in vapour pressure capillary tube type temperature gauges.
Jono Gilberd
TECHNICIAN
Qualified in Mechanical Engineering working in the maintenance of heavy rotating machinery, with 18 year experience in the mechanical engineering and automotive repair fields and specialising in precision machinging, repair and recondition of pump, valves, safety valve, which provides a high level of precision, quality and experitisve in the reconditioning and repair of automotive instruments.
